Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Isaiah 42:1-7, God speaks of His chosen servant. This servant will bring justice to the nations quietly. He is gentle and compassionate, caring for those in need. He brings hope to those who feel lost. God supports this servant, who will be a covenant for the people and a light for the nations.
In John 12:1-11, Jesus visits Bethany for a special dinner. During the meal, Mary pours expensive perfume on His feet. Judas Iscariot criticizes her, suggesting the money could help the poor. Jesus defends Mary, highlighting the importance of her act as His death approaches. Many gather, and the chief priests begin to plot against Lazarus, as more people believe in Jesus because of him.
