Today’s Catholic Reflection
In the passage from Jeremiah, the LORD desires His people to listen and follow His commands. He wants them to find prosperity in their lives. Despite His calls through the prophets, the people have turned away. The LORD mourns the loss of faithfulness among them. They resist correction and show a deep rebellion against His guidance.
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus performs a miracle by casting out a mute demon. The crowd is amazed by what they see. Some people accuse Him of using demonic power, while others ask for a sign from heaven. Jesus responds by saying that a divided kingdom cannot stand. He makes it clear that His power comes from God and urges everyone to choose to follow Him.
