Today’s Catholic Reflection

In the book of Micah, the speaker asks God to guide and protect His people. They are compared to a flock in a rich, green land. The text remembers when God freed His people from Egypt and performed great wonders. It shows God's forgiving nature and His compassion, promising to take away guilt and restore faithfulness.

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus shares the story of the prodigal son. This parable reveals the importance of repentance and forgiveness. The younger son wastes his inheritance and, feeling lost, chooses to return home. His father welcomes him joyfully, celebrating his return. The older son feels jealousy and resentment, thinking his loyalty goes unnoticed. The father reassures him of his love, highlighting the joy that comes with reconciliation.
