Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Isaiah, the LORD compares His word to rain and snow. These elements nourish the earth, making it fertile and productive. Just as they fulfill their purpose, God's word will accomplish what He intends. It will not return without effect.
The Psalm assures us that God rescues the just from their troubles. Those who seek the LORD find joy in His response to their cries. He saves them from distress. The passage affirms that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. In the Gospel, Jesus teaches His disciples to pray sincerely, highlighting the importance of forgiveness and trust in God's provision.
