Today’s Catholic Reflection
Nathan spoke to King David about his actions. He used a story about a rich man who took a poor man's cherished ewe lamb. David, unaware of the true meaning, became angry and demanded justice. Nathan then revealed that David was the one at fault for taking Uriah's wife. He warned David of the consequences to come. Although God forgave David, Nathan told him that the child born from this union would die. David was heartbroken and mourned deeply, refusing to eat or rise.
In the Gospel, Jesus and his disciples encountered a fierce storm while crossing a lake. Amid the chaos, Jesus slept peacefully in the boat. The disciples, filled with fear, woke him and questioned his concern for them. With a simple command, Jesus calmed the storm, leaving the disciples amazed at his power over nature. They were left pondering who this man could be, capable of commanding both wind and sea.
