Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Isaiah, the Lord comforts the people of Zion. He assures them that their cries will be heard and that sorrow will end. He promises to meet their needs with food and water. The land will flourish, producing rich crops, and animals will graze in lush pastures. On a day of healing, the Lord will mend their wounds and restore them after their suffering.

The Psalm celebrates the goodness of the Lord. He rebuilds Jerusalem and gathers the scattered people of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and knows each star by name. In the Gospel, Jesus moves through towns, teaching and healing the sick. He feels compassion for those who are lost and encourages His disciples to share the message of the Kingdom of heaven. He empowers them to heal and drive out evil, reminding them to share the gifts they have received.
