Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Isaiah, the Lord speaks of a future filled with transformation. Lebanon will become a fruitful orchard. The deaf will hear and the blind will see. This will bring joy to the lowly and the poor. Tyrants and the arrogant will be removed, and false accusers will be cut off. The descendants of Jacob will not feel ashamed as they witness the Lord's work and honor Him.
In the Gospel of Matthew, two blind men follow Jesus, asking for His mercy. When they reach Him, He inquires about their faith in His ability to heal them. They respond with confidence. Jesus touches their eyes, restoring their sight. He instructs them to keep this miracle private, but they cannot help but share the news of their healing throughout the region.
