Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Isaiah 4:2-6, we see a vision of hope for the future. The "branch of the LORD" will bring glory to those who survive in Israel. Those who remain in Zion and Jerusalem will be made holy and preserved. The LORD will cleanse Jerusalem and provide protection over Mount Zion, symbolized by a cloud by day and fire by night.

Psalm 122 expresses joy in coming together to worship in the house of the Lord. Jerusalem is highlighted as a vital place for community and faith. The psalmist prays for peace and prosperity in the city, underscoring the importance of relationships. In Matthew 8:5-11, a centurion approaches Jesus for help with his servant. His strong faith in Jesus' ability to heal with just a word is praised, showing that many will find a place in the Kingdom of heaven.
