Today’s Catholic Reflection

Isaiah presents a vision of a future where the Lord's house stands as the highest mountain. All nations will come to seek guidance and walk in His ways. From Zion, God's instruction will flow. He will judge the nations and bring peace, transforming weapons into tools for farming. The house of Jacob is called to walk in the light of the Lord, embarking on a journey toward righteousness and harmony.

The psalmist expresses joy in going to the house of the Lord. Jerusalem is portrayed as a unified place of worship and judgment. A prayer for peace within Jerusalem shows a desire for prosperity and well-being among its people. In the New Testament, Paul encourages believers to awaken from spiritual slumber and live righteously. Jesus reminds His disciples to stay vigilant and prepared for His return, comparing it to the unexpected flood in Noah's time, highlighting the need for readiness for the coming of the Son of Man.
