Today’s Catholic Reflection
The readings for today reflect on gratitude and the greatness of God. In the first reading from Sirach, we see a bless God for His wondrous works and His care for humanity from the moment of birth. It speaks of a longing for joy and peace among the people, highlighting God's goodness and His deliverance for Israel.
The responsorial psalm offers praise to the Lord for His greatness and mercy. It encourages us to give thanks and to recognize His works throughout the generations. In the Gospel from Luke, Jesus meets ten lepers who ask for help. All are healed, but only one, a Samaritan, returns to express his gratitude. Jesus acknowledges this act, showing us the importance of thankfulness and faith in our healing.
