Today’s Catholic Reflection

In the first reading from Romans, we focus on Abraham and justification. Abraham stands out as a significant figure. His righteousness comes from faith, not from his actions. This shows us that faith in God leads to true righteousness. David's words remind us of the joy in forgiveness and the blessing of God's mercy.

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus speaks to a large crowd. He warns his disciples hypocrisy of the Pharisees. He tells them that all hidden things will be revealed and encourages them not to fear those who can harm the body. Instead, he teaches them to fear God, who holds power over eternal matters. Jesus reassures them of their worth in God's eyes, reminding them that even the smallest creatures are cared for, and they need not live in fear.
